Is too many hours in the Firebird. Even it was done by the time we got home (intermittent idle issue that stopped before I got home)

Kinja'd!!!

I had a great time in Nashville (hopefully I’ll curate a picture heavy post tomorrow).

Random VW Amorak Jayhawk Jake and I saw on the way home:

I’m not looking forward to driving to Minnesota next weekend.

You should take the Miata to Minnesota. It will help you appreciate the Firebird.

Have done Miata to Minnesota. I’ve done worst drives tbh. Doesn’t hurt that my Miata has a bangin stereo and plush soft spring rates.

I’m not a masochist. Actually I’ll only take the TA to KC, then I’ll drive our F-250 from there.

Back to back weekends of long distance trips? You’re a better man than me.

I still think it’s probably a little less comfortable than a TA.

Any trip longer than a couple of hours in a miata always had me (in my best Clarkson impersonation) going “Please! Make it stop.” Even with the top up, the constant drone of 4,000rpm and deafening wind noise with a stereo cranked all the way up in the background got old pretty fast.
